CHURCH MEMBERSHIP

There are three different ways by which one may become a member of the Allendale United Reformed Church.

• The first is by birth! We believe that children of believing parents who are already members are received by God as members of the covenant, and given the sign of this in baptism. When these children mature and are taught the mysteries of the Christian faith, they are urged to publicly confess their faith in Christ. Upon such a confession, the privilege of church membership is then granted them.
• The second way is by transfer from another evangelical church. Should you wish to do so, please contact the minister or any elder of the church.
• The third way is for those who presently have no church membership. This normally involves a series of instruction classes through which we seek to guide the new member into a knowledge of the greatness of sin , how they are delivered from sin and how they are to live thankful lives for such deliverance.
