Cozy Bear Cottage is a 2 bedroom (1 queen, 1 full) comfortably furnished house that has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room and a good-sized full bath. There is a carport at the start of the drive with paved easy access. Kick back on the wrap around deck or covered porch at the end of the day and fall asleep while listening to the bold creek across the road. Grill and campfire ring provided. There are enough table settings to host a couple guests for dinner, if desired.

A Short Drive From The "Den":
Whitewater rafting and tubing- Rivers have various degrees of challenge. Nantahala Outdoor Center and other outfitters are in downtown Bryson City.
Waterfalls- Many spectacular waterfalls are near. Check Chamber of Commerce brochures in downtown Bryson City.
Great Smoky Mountain National Park- Endless hiking trails and mountain views. Go right on Fontana Rd./Road to Nowhere from cottage.
Cherokee Indian Reservation, Casino, & Oconaluftee Village- Native crafts and culture.
Fishing- Fontana Lake and the Tukasegee River are highlights as well as numerous trout streams. Licenses and information in downtown Bryson City.
Gem Mining- Check Chamber of Commerce brochures in downtown Bryson City for locations.
Great Smoky Mountains Railway- Train stations are located in Bryson City and nearby Dillsboro for scenic excursions through the mountains and by the rivers and Fontana Lake. Schedules vary with season.
Dillsboro- A historic town with over 50 shops. Don't miss the chocolate!
Flea Markets- Right along HWY 74 East
Tsali Trails- Awesome mountain biking & horseback riding. Check Chamber of Commerce brochure.
Biltmore Estate, Gatlinburg, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, & Fontana Dam are day trips. Check Chamber of Commerce information for more details.

Weekly June, July, and October 6 Days $500/wk. Weekly August/September 5 Days $385/wk. Weekly April, May, and November 5 Days $360/wk. Weekly December-March 5 Days $310/wk.
* 1/2 Lodging fees required by Check or Money Order to Confirm Reservation.
* Balance of weekly lodging fees and $100 refundable cleaning and key deposit must be received 14 days in advance of arrival day. (7 days are required for all other stays.)
* Cancellation with less than one week notice results in a one night fee. We will, however, apply it to a future visit.
* Check in at 3 p.m. and check out by 11 a.m.
