Any time now!!!

The baby is due on the 24th. of August and both Sarah and I are very anxious to have this baby. I think Sarah might be just a little more anxious than I. While waiting, I decided to put up these new nursery pictures. It's just an explosion of Paddington Bear.

MORE BABY PICTURES!!!

Sarah got new baby pictures for her birthday. Sarah, my mom and I all went to the ultrasound session. Mom was really excited about it. The excitement was brought down a little by a very impersonal tech. He hardly spoke a word and you had to ask him questions just to find out what you were seeing. Usually They are a lot friendlier and tell you all about it. Still, it was cool to go to an ultrasound that was a normal, scheduled on for a change. We did have a little scare when the tech had to get the Dr. He just said that he had to get the Dr. and left the room without telling us why. It turns out that he just needed some help, but we're used to "getting the Dr." being a bad thing. Not the best experience, but not too bad. At this time the baby is about "half baked" We have the walls of the nursary all painted and the border up. We're just waiting for the furniture.

We ordered the Heart Tones Doppler listening device and received it the other day. It works great! We can hear the baby's heartbeat any time we want to. We've been listening to it about once a day so far. If you want to hear it and you have the ability to listen to MP3 files, click here.

We had a little scare Monday night, but everything is O.K. We ended up in the emergency room because Sarah had some, to put it politely, abnormal symptoms. However, after all the poking and prodding the baby looks like it's doing great still. That kid was jumping all over the place. The tech had a hard time getting the picture because the baby moved so much. They couldn't explain why Sarah had the symptoms she did but they haven't reoccurred so that's a good sign. I guess one good thing to come of it is that we got a new ultrasound picture. The baby is 3.5 inches and the heart rate is 162. In the picture you can see the head and body, ribs, eyes, nose, and mouth with hand inserted. :)

The baby is doing GREAT!!! Baby is now 26mm and the heart rate is in the 160's. This is well within the nominal range for 9.5 weeks. We actually got to see the baby move!!! :) :) :) It was so cool! Sarah and I are breathing a sigh of relief between smiles of joy. Below is the latest picture.

The head is on top and you can even see the brain. You can kinda make out where the little hands and feet are. The splotches kinda going off to the left is the umbilical cord.

Below is the baby at 8 weeks.

This is the our first baby picture. That's the cutest grain of rice I'VE ever seen.
