Making sure your Windows 95/98 Dialer Settings are Correct

1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Click on Control Panel.
4. Double Click on Network.
5. In the white window, if there are duplicate TCP/IP's, then click on the duplicate and click on remove. Click on TCP/IP or TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adaptor. Then click on Properties.
   If you have Windows 98, answer Yes to the warning message that appears.
6. Click on WINS Configuration stub.
7. Make sure Use DHCP for Wins Resolution is selected.
8. Click on DNS Configuration stub.
9. Make sure the following settings are in place:
   Disable DNS
10. Click on OK.
11. Click on OK.

If you had to change any of your settings, your computer probably will request you to restart it. Allow your computer to restart.
