Checking Windows 95/98 Dialer Settings

1. Double click on My Computer
2. Double click on Dial-up Networking
3. Single click on altelco dialer (to highlight it)
4. Click on File (from the menu)
5. Click on Properties (from the drop-down menu)
6. Click on Scripting (if tab is available) - Filename box should be blank
7. Click on Server Types - Only the following should be checked:
   • Enable Software Compression
   • TCP/IP
   
8. Click on TCP/IP Settings - Only the following should be checked:
   • Server Assigned IP Address
   • Server Assigned Name Server Addresses
   • Use IP Header Compression
   • Use Default Gateway
   
   Click on OK
9. Click on General tab
10. Make sure use area code is unchecked
11. Click on Configure
    Maximum Speed for 14.4 modems equals 19,200
    Maximum Speed for 28.8, 33.6, 56k equals 57,600
12. Click on Options tab
    Bring up terminal window before and after dialing should be blank
13. Click on OK
14. Click on OK
