How is software downloaded? Will it cost any money?
If personal information and/or credit card numbers ARE NOT SUBMITTED, there can be no charges incurred. Some software on the Internet is free.
Some sites where software can be downloaded are: www.shareware.com and www.download.com .
To download software, create a download directory/folder on the hard drive. To do this, use either Windows Explorer or File Manager:
- Under Windows Explorer, click on File, New, Folder.
- Select the C: prompt.
- Under File Manager, click on File, then Create Directory
- Visit the site where software downloads are available.
- When the download command asks where to save the file, type in "c:download".
- Use Windows Explorer or File Manager to open the file after downloading.
