Windows ME: It is taking me a long time to get connected, is there anything I can do to connect faster?
There is a setting in your dialer that when checked can cause you to wait an extra 45 seconds to get connected after it verifies the username and password. To check to see if this option is checked on your computer, try this:

1. Click on Start
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Dial-up Networking
4. Right click on altelco dialer
5. Left click on Properties
6. Click on Security tab
7. UNCHECK Log on to Network
8. Click on OK
