I received a pop lock error when trying to receive my email --or-- I have been receiving email just fine until recently, now I can't seem to receive any messages?
Pop lock errors usually occur when people have rather large attachments waiting to be downloaded. People who use Outlook Express are most likely to see this error, especially if they are using Outlook Express on a Macintosh. The email program trying to download the email for some reason times out, locking up your account on our server. If you receive a pop lock error, wait 30 minutes and the pop lock should go away.

If your email has been working for a long time, then all of a sudden seems like it is not downloading your email messages. You probably have a large attachment that has been sent to you. Try leaving your computer alone for an hour and let it download the email. Usually it will succeed, depending on the size of the message.

In either of the above scenerios, there is a way that you can fix this problem. Visit our Online Mailman and follow the directions on the screen for logging in. Once logged into the Online Mailman, you can review your messages. You can also delete the message with the large attachment which is causing you grief.
