I have Windows 95 or Windows 98, my save password box is grayed out. How do I fix this?
This is a bug in the Operating System. Click on Start, Settings, and Control Panel. Double click on Network. Click on add. Click on Client, then click on Add. Choose Microsoft in the left window, then choose Client for Microsoft Networks in the right window, now click on OK. Choose Windows login for the Primary Network Login. Click on OK. The computer might now ask you for your Windows 95 or Windows 98 cd. If it does, just put the cd in and follow the directions on the screen. Answer Yes if the computer requests to be rebooted. WARNING: When the computer restarts, a windows login window may appear. MAKE SURE THE PASSWORD FIELD IS BLANK!!! Otherwise, you will always have to click on cancel on the login screen when your computer starts up. You will notice that you can now check the Save Password in the dialer.
