Windows 95 or Windows 98: It is taking me a long time to get connected, is there anything I can do to connect faster?
There is a setting in your dialer that when checked can cause you to wait an extra 45 seconds to get connected after it verifies the username and password. To check to see if this option is checked on your computer, try this:

1. Double click on Start
2. Double click on Dial-up Networking
3. Single click on altelco dialer
4. Click on File
5. Click on Properties
6. Click on Server Types
7. UNCHECK Log on to Network
8. Click on OK
